Summary of our time in Vietnam, its been a really enjoyable time here but wow the travelling is hard work.
Favourite Place - Mui Ne (Tom), Hoi An (Charlie)
Worst Place - Hue (Both, mainly due to illness though)
Best Meal - Seafood BBQ First night in Mui Ne (Both)
Worst Meal - Tiny overpriced fish last night in Hoi An (Tom), £6 Tiger Prawn last night in Mui Ne (Charlie)
Best Drink - Green Saigon (Tom), Vietnamese Coffee with sweet milk (Charlie)
Worst Drink - Lao Cai beer in Sapa
Best Activity - Renting scooter in Mui Ne (Tom), Tam Coc motorbike trip (Charlie)
Worst Activity - Tam Coc motorbike trip (Tom due to illness), Cat Ba Island (Charlie due to extreme illness)
Best Journey - Sleeping bus Hoi An to Nha Trang (both)
Worst Journey - Train Ninh Binh to Hue (Tom), Bus Da Lat to Mui Ne (Charlie)
What we Liked: Amazing cheap beers, most hotels don't allow guests except for "some special time" but then you must tell the receptionist ;-), Scooters! (especially one Charlie saw with a Louis Vittion paint job), Pho Bo, Fresher then fresh seafood, Cakes (especially in Hoi An).
What we Didn't Like: You Buy, You Look, You buy, Buy Something, Maybe you buy something... normally grabbing hold of Charlie as Tom walks off. You want (insert service/good here). Why not?! Why you not buy?! Birds kept in tiny cages as pets :-( Grumpy people that shove Charlie out of the way on the pavement. Feeling like a walking ATM all the time. Getting bloody robbed!
Observations: Crossing the roads is an experience, they're never actually clear so you have to just step out and walk at a constant rate and allow traffic to move around you. Flashing lights here means I'm not stopping (opposite of at home!!!).
Would we come back: Probably Not, Hoi An and Mui Ne were great but the countrys a lot of effort to travel!

Carol Baum Nice to see your thoughts on Viet Nam in such a reader-friendly form. Obviously once was enough.
