Sue had a long cold beer ready for her little 'airman 'when he returned from his paragliding jump and was so very delighted that he was safe and sound. Had a long chat and Sue began to wonder …what if?
YES, you have guessed it Sue DID IT, absolutely brilliant, what a star!!!
Sue's quote "Well I'm on the other side of the world and shall probably only get one chance to do this so why not run off a mountain side"! …….Oh what an amazing experience - started up by meeting up with Tim (my clingon!), such a lovely lad from Colchester! Guess he reckoned I was nervous so before I knew it I was clipped into my harness and attached to the parachute - next Tim was telling me to "run" and then….. I was FLYING straight off the edge and gliding down into the still quiet air above the wonderful vista of Queenstown and the beautiful lake Watatipu. Poor Tim - I yattered away to him all the way down (which was actually very difficult with an extremely dry mouth) then tearfully and happily gave him a massive hug when we landed! I had done it and have to say it was a fantastic experience.
Finished off the day with Matt and Rachael's recommendation for a burger from Fergbergers ( Lonely planets 'must eat burger joint') - crazy place with a perpetual queue that only closes for 2 hours from 4am! Have to say though that we had amazing burgers, perhaps the best we have ever had.. Thanks Matt and Rach!
