Hey Peeps,
Back on the road at last after spending way to much time in Sydney.
We started in Coffs Harbour, which was a great small beach town. We spent most of our time swimming in the sea, walking to the next beach, swimming, walking.... sure you get the picture. Fantastic place, nice and relaxed
We got to go to the famous 'Big Banana', which was really bizare and quite scary!!! It looks like a big paper mache banana, and there is a cafe where you can get banana smoothies, a shop with tacky banana souviniers, an educational show about growing banana's..... you get the picture. Bizarly there's a tobogan (which looked rubbish), a ski slope that's been closed since 2004. We didn't stay there for too long.
We left Coffs on Sunday and got a 9 hour coach (ouch) to Brisbane. Well worth the journey. It is a fantastic city, it has a great atmosphere. We're staying in the West End, where all the modern bars and late night cafe's are.
We went to a Sport and War exhibition yesterday, which was interesting. Some of it linked back to the soldiers who were sent to the Thailand-Burma Railway, which we went to in Kanchanaburi. We met up with Jon and Caz yet again.........( they've been stalking us since India, or is it the other way round.) and went to the man made beach. It's very strange having a beach in the middle of the city.
Take Care all, will try and put on more journals, I've been rubbish at it so far
