hey guys, Finished the tour of India now, so back in Delhi for a couple of days. It is complete madness as usual. I much prefer the other places we've been to in India, a lot calmer - don't think I'm much of a city gal. We had planned to go and see a couple of the sites this afternoon, lotus temple etc, but plans went slightly haywire. We'd only been on our own for a 30 mins, getting a tuctuc to our new hotel, when the driver took us to a tourist info centre, who told us that our hotel had no rooms left, and that they could get us one for 4500 RS. Thankfully we called our tourleader Vupul who came and saved us!!! Hotel room was booked but they were trying to con us and get more money out of us. Us tourist's must have mug written on our foreheads!!!! Bought our hero lunch - pizza hut of all places. Think we were all sick of Indian food after 2 weeks (even Vupal). We were all gagging for a beer but their license has just run out. Mountain Dew instead - I forgot how nice it is!!! Managed to check in the hotel at last - 4 hours late Nice place. Chilled out this afternoon, put a bit of a downer on the day. We're off to meet a couple of guys from the tour for dinner tonight. Definitely need a beer then. Tomorrow is a hard core day of sight seeing. Amber Fort, Ghandi Memorial, The Zoo (Yey) and hopefully the lotus temple. Off to Singapore on Tuesday. Singapore Slings in Raffles are in order I think. I'm really looking forward to getting there now. India has been amazing but getting slightly tired of the hawkers and beggars etc. Hopefully will come back one day.
