Hi Everyone! Sorry it has taken a while to write something but here we are!! Currently in Rio at the moment and it is fantastic! We got here last Saturday and went straight to the Maracana stadium (3rd biggest in the world!!) to see local rivals Flamengo and Fieuraznza(?) play. The atmosphere was electric! Our guide took us right into the heart of the home end and we were surrounded by constant chants, flares, drums, and massive flags! Hadn´t got a clue what we were saying but we joined in quite happily anyway!

Also we have been up sugarloaf mountain and had awesome views of the city, saw wild monkeys, relaxed on the Copacabana drinking out of mangos, and we went up to see the infamous Christ statue! Was incredible! We intending to go up when the weather was lovely and sunny which, it was when we were at the bottom of the mountain. However.... by the time we reached the top the place was deserted and a to our surprise a storm just happened to be brewing! All the more fun though! On the top of Corcovada mountain with the big guy on our own with glae force winds! Brilliant!
