well we've started our trip up the coast - first place a small city called newcastle. pretty much just spent our time here chillin out on the beach soakin up the sun - its a hard life! however we did try out the surfing, hired a board for a few hours and hit the beach to catch a few waves (check out a few of the photos). wish we could show you those 8ft rip curls we were riding but the camera battery died on us! ;) the hostel was really good, first night we ate all the pizza hut pizza we could for about $6 (about 2 quid) and the second night we ate out at a pub down in the harbour for free with a quiz and live bands - great night! we've met so many people, there were a couple of manc lads and two scots at the hostel so had a good laugh with them. everybody here seems to be going in the same direction! anyway, thank you all for your messages. it sounds as though everything is okay back home, we'll love you and leave you for now, tomorow were heading up the coast to a small place called port macquarie. love us xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
