We are now heading towards Western Australia, we spent last night at the beautiful Edith Falls and then into Katherine this morning to pick up some mail. We have driven 350k today which is more than we would normally do but there are not a lot of suitable camp sites in this part of the country. We have left the Big Smoke and travelled 135k south west to a little known place called Crab Tree Island. It's not actually an Island unless they get a very big tide then the water covers the road in and the place becomes an Island. We have a really nice site in this small resort. 2 pools and a bar/restaurant we plan to stay here at least 3 days and hopefully catch a fish.

Arrived in Darwin for some much needed civilization. Washing to get the red dirt out of our clothes and bedding and some maintenance on the car and van. We have booked into the caravan park for a week, so we should be able to get everything we need done in that time. The famous Mindil Markets are on tonight so we will go and see what all the fuss is about.

We have just spent 2 days at Edith Falls, about 60k north of Katherine. The water was icy cold it felt like we had done the ice bucket challenge without the ice. It very refreshing especially after a long trek up to the second waterfall. A very relaxing stay. We are now heading north again making our way to Darwin, we are going to stay in Litchfield National Park on the way up.

Today we cruised up Katherine Gorge, the water is quite low at this time of the year but we were lucky enough to be able to do the first and second Gorges. Quite beautiful.
