Dear All, We're still having a great time on our travels! We are in Sydney at the moment, due to leave tonight though and go on the overnight bus to Melbourne where we will be staying with my Grandpa's cousin's daughter! A slightly tenuous link I know, but it's always good to have people that we can stay with for a few nights. We have had such a good time in Australia and are sad to say that this leg of the journey is almost over as we are heading to Thailand on 1st November! The only good thing about it is the fact that we will not be spending so much money, we have heard from lots of people that Thailand is extremely cheap! We have had many highlights during our Oz encounter, a few being snorkellign over The GReat Barrier Reef; meeting up with Helen (a girl that we met whilst on the Trek America tour) who lives in Brisbane aka BrisVegas!; going to Australia zoo and petting a koala and having a surfing lesson in Byron Bay, where Tom managed to ''hang 10'' (meaning that he managed to stand up on his board for 10 seconds!) and Anna managed to stand up (with a little help from the instructor!). We are looking forward to going to Melbourne, and have booked ourselves on to doing a tour of the set of Ramsey Street, we even get to have a few drinks in the evening with the likes of Karl Kennedy (and his band!?), Toady and Lyn Scully!
