The beautiful Dove Lake up on Cradle Mountain. This was one of my favourite moments from our visit to Tasmania. It was a chilly, but lovely day with the clear blue sky and light winds. The 5km walk around the lake was tough for little legs, but very engaging, with rocks to climb and boardwalks to explore along the way. The views were spectacular- on the far side of the Lake there was a waterfall cascading from high up on the Peak of the mountain itself. Tom and I agreed that we really must come back and do the Overland Track- a 65km behemoth of a walk that stretches from Cradle mountain to Lake Ct Clair one day, before we get too old! Something to train for and dream about......
