After Ha Long Bay we got the bus back to Hanoi and then the over night train to Hue - no where near as nice a train as the Sapa one, but we met a really nice couple from New Zealand who we meet again later on in Hoian. When we arrived back in Hanoi on Tuesday morning we just had time to change before jumping on the bus to Ha Long Bay. We arrived early Saturday morning and got the bus to Y Linh Ho where we meet the guide, Chi. It turned out to be just me and Cath on the trek as everyone else was just doing 1 night and we were doing 2. Trekking here was different to the trek in China as you literally went up and down the edge of the terraces in places...no path!! Arrived in Hanoi from Hong Kong mid morning and caught my transfer to the hostel. It is SO hot here its unbelievable...I've never experienced heat like it. The city is chaotic with thousands of motorbikes everywhere and what seems like thousands of people trying to sell you stuff and they just follow you harassing!
