What they don't tell you about the top fashion shoots is that it takes a hell of a lot of attempts to get it right and the person holding the camera usually ends up bitterly frustrated, wishing they'd never agreed to work with such a tiresome bunch of self-obsessed perfectionists. Still... utterly worth it though :)

Very first surf lesson at the cheapest place in Australia! $17! With the tip-ability and grace of a Jersey cow, I had little hope of succeeding at this undoubtably cool pursuit. And yet...I wasn't the worst in the class! Unbelievably I managed to remain upright on my enormous board for about two seconds before plummeting head first into the tide with the force of a water buffalo. Still...two seconds!
