Auckland, New Zealand - Thursday, 11am Twenty four hours ago I was wading through cold water in a pitch black cave, gawping upwards like a star struck fool at greenish constellations scattered in their thousands. Glow worms. Today is my last day in New Zealand and my long journey home begins here; Auckland airport. Having bid farewell …
Syl Good onya, BETHAN!
re: Five Countries in Five Daysbondi bessie I read this as 'eating dehydrated spaghetti bolognaise with nothing but a disposable tampon'. That would certainly be character building. Somewhat easier with a mooncup though, were you to follow this path.
re: The Routeburn TrackCaitlin Oh my god. Betty, the tree thing had me in hysterics. I would have been so bloody cynical and laughed too much. Hehe. It sounds like an experience to say the least!
re: Yoga Retreat (or how I learned to stop worrying and love the "om")caroline Pugsley Sounds great! Your writing is great! I think it is worth trying everything and am already a believer in the power of a good singalong (I distribute lyrics on my bus and have them all singing along to That's Amore, Hotel California etc - it is really good fun). One of my colleagues is looking for a nanny in Italy for this year's season, so I have included her email. I thought that you might know someone who is at a loose end and might enjoy a few months in Italy. When are you back home? Dear Colleagues, Myself and my husband Luca both work in tourism business (TD insight / Driver) We are looking at getting a nanny for our 7 months old daughter Andrea ,from May through October 2013. We would love to have an English speaking nanny to stay with her in my mother's house while I am away. She could have time off to travel and visit Italy while I will be at home(I am planning to have 10/15 days between tours) or simply stay with us. If you know anyone- sisters, cousins, nieces, friends, etc, etc-with some child care experience, who would be interested in spending some time in Italy ,we live close by lake Como, caring for our daughter, could you please let us know or have them get in touch with me. GRAZIE Thank you Best regards, Mariangela Carozzi 0039/392/5204442 mail [email protected]

re: Yoga Retreat (or how I learned to stop worrying and love the "om")DANNY Beth, I tried to keep u safe in Melbourne (with varying degrees of success) and then you nearly blow it by extending your thespian range to shark bait. Lesson? Always do your location homework before you attempt anything reckless notwithstanding an over indulgence of fine Aussie beverages. Have you ever tried using that excuse to a magistrate after having committed a drunken misdemeanour? stay safe!!! luv DANNYxxx
re: Just keep swimming...Caitlin Haha! Your NY makes mine in Derbyshire seem tame (beef caserole, board games and beer). Humble times. Love the story!
