We spent the last two days in Hue; a sweet little town with great sunsets over the river. Yesterday we took a boat trip down the perfume river to visit the local pragoda, then in the afternnon we went for a walk through the local park which has many different arty type statues. Dean took along his new toy; it's a kind of shuttle c*** thing which you kick about (a popular game across Vietnam). I entertained him for a while with this before giving up (too hot and plus, girls aren't designed for the kicking action) Anyways, a young boy came and offered him a game, and before we knew it, there were kids coming from all directions to join in the game. It was really cool. Before we left, we bought all fourteen children an ice cream, and it cost us less than 50p! The ice cream man couldn't believe his luck! Last night we travelled to Hanoi on another fun twelve hour journey. But this trip was especially fun as the coach had no lights (which meant we had to sit in the dark from 6pm) and no curtains (which meant we were woken at 4am). The coach was also overfull and people were sitting in the isles (Which meant we had virtually no leg room) The fun of travel... Claire x
