Hi Now in Western Australia and have just finished a five day tour from Perth to Broome..... Arrived in Perth and spent a couple of days looking round the city. Took the ferry to Rottnest Island and spent the day cycling round the Island. Absolutely beautiful place as you will see from my photos, was quite saddle sore by the end of the day though! Then headed on up the coast with my tour group from Perth to Exmouth. A really cool bunch of people a mixture of ages - I was one of the youngest for a change and it was really good to be in a group where everyone wasnt trying to get into each others pants! We started off in Perth and worked our way up to the Pinnacles - natural stone formations that have been uncovered over the years, apparently they stretch all the way to Perth but most are still underground. Stopped off at an animal park and held snakes! Mum - dont look at those piccies! Then did some sandboarding before staying in Kalbarri for the night. The next day we headed on up to Monkey Mia. On the way we stopped and did some abseiling and swimming and climbed back up the gorge afterwards - an amazing way to start the day - all of that by 9am! Arrived at Monkey Mia and got a room upgrade due to a mix up so had an ocean front room - what luxury! Got up early the next day for the Dolphin feeding, they come right to the shore - its amazing but quite commercial as they have the load speaker going and people come in droves but a great experience. Hit the road again and made our way to Shell Beach and the Stromatolites before staying at a Sheep Shearing station for the night. Lots of games round the camp fire and the torches were out in case of snakes! The next day we were up for the sunrise before heading to Coral Bay where I went on a glass bottomed boat and did some snorkelling which was brilliant but a bit cold! That night the group held an early birthday party for me and got me presents and everything ! Bless! Then onto Exmouth where we spent the next day on Turqoise Bay and did some more snorkelling - saw a Turtle it was great! Now in Broome after leaving the group and getting the Greyhound.
