Well this is my last day in San Fran :-( Love it here, weather is gorgeous, people are friendly food is lovely, blah blah blah, I could go on froever about how wonderful this place is but instead think will talk about how wonderful the Golden Gate Bridge is...... Yesterday was the first time I'd seen it, rest of the week had been quite foggy so no point in going to look as would have been covered in the fog and not been able to see anything but yesterday was crisp cloudless weather so off I went. Went to Alcatraz yesterday, what an errie place that is, i mean you can see from the pictures in the photo album how spooky it looks but was also quite cool, did the audio tour so wandered around with one of those headset things on. Actually am getting ahead of myself. Went to Alcatraz on Friday, not yesterday. Yesterday was the Golden Gate Park, which is beautiful beyond mention, lush rolling greens. Also went to the DeYoung museum which si the brand new art museum in middle of Golden Gate Park. Very interesting architecture, made of copper so will change colour as it weathers (Remember all those Grand Designs Lucy!!!) adn had a tower which you can get a 360 view of San Fran. Very cool. Then went to The Golden Gate Bridge. - (TONI - REMEMBER TO PRINT THIS OFF FOR YOUR MOM!!) - The Bridge is more spectacualr than you could ever imagine, I mean I know its just a hunk of metal and its only a bridge but it takes yur breath away when your on it. Maybe its cuz I'm a Brit and this Bridge is like a fairy story but I was so amazed to be on it, and then when climbe the mountain at the side of it and took the pictures from there, well its breath taking, I was in awe of it..... After that went to another awe-inspiring place, the John Muir Redwood Forest, again to be walking beneath trees that have been there for hundreds of years and are miles high is just a WOW factor. Anyway tomorrow I leave this lovely city and get the greyhound down to LA and then fly to Sydney on Wednesday, that should be fun!!! "I Left My Heart In San Francisco"!!
