well i decided to get off the main TransMongolian Line before Beijing to i took a slight detour to visit Hohhot the capital of Inner Mongolia (china). The boader crossing into china was realativly painless and despite haveing to cue up in 30+ degree heat. the first thing that struck me about china was just how developed the place looked. Hohhot looked more like a cross between Las Vagas and New york after Ulaanbaatar. anyway i only stayed in Hohhot 1 day but still managed to visit the main Buddist Monestry ( i sense i have a lot more of them to come in Tibet) anyway after haveing my first proper taste of chinese food for a few years. i just had time to visit the excellent and Huge Inner Mongolia Museum. before long it was time to get back on the train for the climax of my mamoth trip accoess mongolia and russia. next stop Beijing
