Really good day. We went to Lapa and got on a tram into Santa Tereza. We however stayed on the tram far too long and ended up getting ever closer and passing through loads little areas. So after some jumbled portugese we got off at the right station to then get on another wrong tram to god knows where. We thought we'd do what the locals do so we held on to the side of the tram and brushing against cars and trees. But when we found we had gone wrong way we kept holding on to the side and went back. At this point we were getting some dirty looks from the driver because you are only meant to hold on to the side for short trips not full length there and back!! But as usual we attracted lots of attention and interest with all the people on the tram speaking to us and one lady even takiong photos of these three stupid english backpapers dangling on the side. Rest of the day was just spent on the beach. Had an awesome evening however. Chris and I went to a local club near the hostel ( edd felt ill) with a load of people from the hostel. In the club you get a tab rather than pay for drinks at the time!!! not good. But drinks were very cheap so we stayed there till 6.30 and stumbled back a]to the hostel. good good night
