An early morning as we had a lengthy drive around the delta to cross the border from Botswana to Namibia. We saw many donkeys as we drove although not much in the way of Elephant SUPERHERDS. We went grocery shopping and went through a large veterinary check where an officer opened all the under truck lockers and came onto the truck. We successfully smuggled one tomato between areas of Botswana so any outbreak of fruit fly can be laid at our feet. Lunch was lovely...

Today we returned to Maun which meant being up, packed down, breakfasted and on the makoro for 0730 hours. It was a peaceful ride back with a quick sing song of "in the jungle" with Kabe as we went. The beginning of a fantastic two days out on the Delta. We had to be very organised and early as we were being picked up at 0730.
