An early morning as we had a lengthy drive around the delta to cross the border from Botswana to Namibia. We saw many donkeys as we drove although not much in the way of Elephant SUPERHERDS. We went grocery shopping and went through a large veterinary check where an officer opened all the under truck lockers and came onto the truck. We successfully smuggled one tomato between areas of Botswana so any outbreak of fruit fly can be laid at our feet. Lunch was lovely though. We have been very impressed with the fresh baking available in supermarkets recently.
The Namibia border was empty and relatively quick. A short drive through a national park and we arrived in our campsite called Rainbow Lodge. Where there were neither rainbows or crocodiles - although no one went swimming in the Okavango River to test out the latter.
