Drove to Etosha National Park. The campsites were beautiful. Swimming pools and fantastic showers. Also watering holes that you can sit at and watch animals come to quench their thirst. First we went on a game drive around one of the smaller salt pans to see what could be seen. We had our first sighting of a on Oryx - they are gorgeous creatures that rumour states was the origin of the Unicorn mythologies. We also saw black backed jackals, steenbok, springbok, hartebeests, elephants, giraffes and rhinos.

After dinner we went down to the waterhole to see what we could see. As we arrived an elephant was drinking whilst a tower of giraffes gradually appeared out if the gloaming. Fantastic to watch them carefully checking out whether there were any dangers before stretching their legs out to the side and stretch their long necks down to drink. The elephant then started eating the grass and gradually making his way closer and closer to us. It was a magical evening.
