Vikki had a quiet day - doing laundry, her exercises, quick emails over dial up, reading and taking a few photos. Tessa had meant to go diving but as it is extremely windy this was postponed. She decided to go horse riding in the afternoon as she describes here:
I headed off with Tamara, Emily, Miriam and Heiko and we were joined by Lottie from another truck. Once fitted with our helmets and matched with a horse (mine was called George aka Dinosaur) we rode out. The pace was gentle and we had plenty of time to look at the scenery as we walked past villagers and crops. The locals are becoming more familiar with the horses and whilst still obviously nervous had learned not to hide in bushes or behind trees. We finished the ride on the beach where we stripped down to our swim gear and the horses were relieved of their saddles. We then remounted and headed down to the beach to ride through the surf. George loved the water and much fun was had by all of us there.
The evening was a special party night! We all had to dress the person whom we'd bought specifically gorgeous stuff for at the market yesterday. I had Tessa and put her in a slinky number accessorised with our Fluro tutus. Tessa dressed Dr Tom in skin tight silver glittery leggings teamed with a red velour top. Boodifull! Miriam dressed me in a bright orange under slip and velour elf top complete with bells!
As we exited the truck a song had been chosen for us. We then all went to the bar and followed tradition by dancing upon it! A good night had by all :-)
