Monday 4-9 August
Back on the road again and this time even further south and west to Cornwall to see our old friends Terry and Sandra who have recently moved from Halifax to Terry's home town of Marazion. There they have bought a cottage but, whilst they are working on its renovation, they are living on their beautiful boat, Fulminator, in Mylor Harbour, nr Falmouth. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the Cornish sights at their best - St Michael's Mount, Mousehole, Penzance - due to the wind and rain but we were lucky enough to get one sunny day when we could go out sailing. Wow, two sunny days in a row so we were also able to help Terry and Sandra with their renovations, in a small way. The weather didn't stop us being able to sample one or two Cornish pasties, Cornish cream teas and some good traditional pub food but unfortunately only one BBQ, and it didn't deter us from having a wonderful time with Terry and Sandra and, as always, a great laugh.
