Sunday 27 AprilYesterday we rode from Watkins Glen to Fairport, Near Rochester to find Dennis and Cookie who we had previously met at Lewis Mountain Lodge in the Shenandoah National Park and, with not much effort, we landed right at their doorstep. Dennis and Cookie live in a wonderful house which is nearly 100 years old and was originally where Dennis grew-up. Friday 25 AprilToday is a momentous day for the trip as we have reached our final state - NEW YORK state. We head up New York State to Watkins Glen where the people we met at Shenandoah National Park - Dennis and Cookie - suggested we visit. We visit Watkins Glen Gorge which has been carved over millions of years by the river and waterfalls. We stay overnight in Watkins Glen in a motel overlooking one of the lakes known as the Finger Lakes.

Thursday 24 AprilSeems a while since we did some decent amount of miles on the bike and today the weather is perfect and we are looking forward to a journey through Pennsylvania. We head through tiny places like Malta, Dalmatia, Fishers Ferry and eventually into the beautiful village of Northumberland. Wednesday 23 AprilWe head out of DC today for Frederick, Maryland but first we stop at the other part of the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum out at Dulles Airport. The size of this place is just amazing and it's content very surprising. The highlights of the visit have to be the Air France Concorde, the Enola Gay and the SR71 Blackbird.

Sunday 20 AprilWe are off to Washington DC today to see the capital of the country we have seen so much of! We stop for for brunch at a cafe in Sperryville - a very small town but a lovely place and the hot chocolate is the best I have ever tasted. On the way we both notice a couple of places that make "Antique Tables Daily" - don't know what the experts on the Antiques Roadshow would make of that!
