Hey, well Im now in thailand, its very loud and lively but I needed the pick me up, its done me good :)
Well stopping in the really backer packers bit of Koh Sahn Road, there are so many bars here its untrue. The first day I didnt really do much, 2 flights in 2 days really got to me so just chilled out slept most of the day.
Next day I went on tour, orignally just to the floating markets which are so cool. You float down river and buy as you go down from the shore people. I really enjoyed it even though a boat crashed right into my chest, the curse of the nile is back Pat lol.
I met a couple of cool ozzie birds and went drinking with them last night and had a right laugh. That afternoon, the trip carried on to the tiger temple, so Iasked if I could join them, it was something Id planned to do anyways. wow what an experience. Im home again with my tige family haha, they are so big when you get close to them its untrue. The guide take you round diffrent ones to stroke and you have your picture taken with them. As I got to the second to last tiger he decided he want to have a look at me, so he turned his head right round and stared at me. I thought my lights were up as he looked hungry. lol Apperently they need 65 lb of meat per day, so at least Id still have my fingers haha.
Later that day we went to the River Kuwi, sorry for the spelling not sure that is right. There's a war museum about how the Japanese used prisioners of war to build the bridge. It really interested me as my Grandad fought in this area during the war. They actually let you walk across the bridge which is still used by Thai trains, as we got there, there was a train crossing the bridge as people were standing on it, madness. Of course I had to have a go, lol, so what a day i had faced a tiger and walk down a railway line. Am I tough enough for the SAS, I think so haha
Well Im off to Ko Ping Ghan tonight, I spoke to a guy who told me about a beach hut in its own private bay, cant wait, I need a few days in the sun :)
rich.
