Home! Well, the plane ride here was nice and smooth, haha sort of. I got on the plane and the first thing that happens is that someone is sitting in my seat by the window. It is a mother and daughter and the woman apologized and said she just scooted all the way in. I thought, that is no big deal and remembered how much fun it was as a kid to look out the window, so I take my seat in the aisle which I don't mind either (I really just hating sitting in the middle). So I push my bags under the seat and buckle up... then I here this LOUD smacking noise next to me and what do you know the mother of the two is chewing on her gum with her mouth wide open like a cow chewing. I wanted to put my IPOD on or cover my ears but if you have flown before then you know you can't turn your headset on until after take off. All I could think was this is going to be the longest flight of my life. But then a miracle happens two seats open up right across from me and what do you know one of them was a window. I couldn't jump out of my seat fast enough :) whew that was a relief. The rest of the flight was pleasant.
Baggage claim... I am sure you know what I am going to say now, OF COURSE they lost one of my bags. Turns out that my luggage decided it wanted to get a head start on the travels and flew to Puerto Rico, LOL! The woman at the counter assured me that they would have my luggage back to me that evening, haha right. Well, that didn't happen turns out they delivered in the next day but honestly I was just so happy to have my bag that I didn't care when it got to me as long as I got it before I leave for the Bahamas.
I have been home for 4 days now and pretty much all I have done is shop :/ But I got all the things I needed for my trip plus a few extra things, you know like a 3 cup french press (all my starbucks people can understand my need for that). Packing has been fun and challenging mostly because it really amazes me how I think I can't live without certain things and others I couldn't care less about. The good news here is that I learned to live without a long time ago but I still managed to bring far more then I need I am sure.
It is later here and tomorrow I am headed to the beach and then Sunday I am kayaking with Melissa and Tony and hopefully meet up with Jessica again for one last goodbye!
Oh the pic is from a while ago when Jessica and I went to Bahama Breeze one of my favorite restaurants and had these yummy margaritas. We went there this time around and ordered them again but I didn't get a picture.
