Day 81 - Fri 8 Jun - Stoke to Momorangi Bay We had intended driving to Rai Valley in the Sounds and park for the night at the Rai Tavern. We set off from Nelson in the sun - I wasn't expecting to be able to see so many snow-capped mountains as we drove out of town in the sun! Day 80 - Thu 7 Jun - Wakefield to Stoke Our destination was near Nelson Airport parked at The Honest Lawyer Pub. A lovely spot at this time of the year - it would be too busy in the summer. Day 79 - Wed 6 Jun - Wakefield This morning we set off in search of Spooners Tunnel (now part of the Great Taste Cycle Trail). We had looked for it 2 years ago unsuccessfully. Yahoo - we went down a logging road and only had to walk 450m to find the entrance to the tunnel. Bruce walked in a wee way but it was extremely dark and also 1.4km long.
