Bredeck- Friday we arrived in to Hannover, Germany where we were picked up by a friend we had met in Cardiff. He was in the military and had invited us to come stay at the officers mess. Alright have you seen Downton Abbey?? Imagine the Mansion they live in... That was like the house we got to stay in for the weekend, if not bigger. Upon entering the property Kalani and I were both flabbergasted at the house. That weekend was the first time we really got to relax and enjoy ourselves without being stressed about finding our way around. There were only about 4 others in the house while we were there.
We got lost in the house a few times, it was so gigantic. There were three different wifi connections within the house because you would loose connection walking around. There we're separate dinning rooms, one to eat breakfast in, another to have lunch or dinner in, and one to have your tea and biscuits. The kitchen had rooms within side. There we're separate rooms for each thing. A huge room with the main cooking appliances (everything was enormous). There was a coffee/ toast room ( the toaster was the coolest part of the kitchen. Another room with the refrigerators, a room to wash dishes, another room with the silverware and dishes.
The house was filled with different paintings, amazing art pieces, and furniture. Outside the house the property was stunning. There was a huge fountain in front of the house, fields on either side, and a lake behind.
The first night, a few of the other officers and doctors from different messes came over for a BBQ. We cooked outside and had our own bar tender for the evening. The next day we sun tanned and drake champaign on the roof, then went out for Italian food. The third day we drove to hamburg for the day. That weekend there was a gay pried festival on the streets. There we're different sound booths set up and tons of food, clothing, boutique stands. It was right by the lake so we walked around for a few hours and then had dinner. The next day we left for Berlin
