We had heard about these frozen waterfalls and how lovely they are, so decided to go. They are calcium deposits, just like in caves. They drip and grow and make these waterfalls.
OH Boy!!!
About 10 miles of dirt , rough , switchback road!! One way.
Beautiful scenery. Just so lovely.
Driving was about 5 miles an hour, so had plenty of time to enjoy the view.
Not sure we would ever go back. But it was worth going to see it.
This little guy, in pink pants is about a hundred and he is our guide, the temp was about 80 degrees, the walk was straight down and straight up. He took off like a rabbit and we are
scurrying to keep up. Forgot our drinking water,
A lovely place to stay for the night.
The waterfalls are lime deposits that drip warm water. Very unusual, they at one time used the water with an irrigation system for farming. These were beautiful.
