It is hot and humid here in Georgetown. 

Georgetown is a UNESCO Heritage hub. 

We decided, since we really enjoyed Hop on Hop off in Kuala Lumpur , that we would do it again 

here in Georgetown.

it was nice as it takes you on two different routes. 

The city route that shows you all the old buildings and sights.

the beach route, that takes you to the beaches ,fish boats, seafood restaurant ,and the National

  Park.

speaker system was really bad in all three buses we were in. So we were never to sure what was

being said and what we were suppose to be observing... Oh well it was a nice ride. Seen a great

  deal of the island.

and went to Penang hill. 

 They say you haven't visited Penang unless you have been to Penang  hill.

beautiful! Your about 2750 ft above sea level. An awesome view of the city below from about 12-

 15 different overviews, or the skywalks. Just beautiful.

it was a bit misty but still some pretty pictures.

Lush trees and and a wonderful breeze!

The bus drops you off at the base of Penang hill .

there are a lot gift shops at the base. 

You go over to buy ticket then wait in line.

get on this pulley drawn train that draws you at times close to straight up the mountain! 

Your really hoping that cable is strong!

it is so pretty up here!

lush foliage , flowers, all kinds of paths, overlooks and skywalks.

incredible views of the city ,  

lots of different food stalls , so you can have lots of choices. Of course the price is a it higher here

then the trip down. We wanted in the front for a Birdseye view and you really get one!

 

when we first found our hotel, we really weren't to sure........it looked a sad. It had great reviews

  so went up this very narrow stairwell.... A very nice hotel is hidden up here. 

We have a suite. It has a large bed room, a nice size sitting room and bathroom.

then at night they have Roy's favorite! Street Hawkers! 

Not sure how we managed it but when you come down our steps at night you are right on a

  famous street known for its street food. 

Everynight and and on weekends hundreds more converge on this street. There is food

  everywhere as well as other things you may need.
