Day 15 - around Canberra and last full day of our road trip. Today we had one aim - and that was to conquer Questacon. Questacon is a very hands on science "museum". Ms10 vaguely remembers going there six years ago - but she is a self-confessed "science nerd" and was beside herself with excitement once she realised our trip included Canberra and a visit to Questacon. Day 14 - Anzac Day in Canberra When we were first planning this family holiday, we looked at a number of options, and places to go, including flying to Melbourne and/or Tasmania etc. As we nutted out the details, we realised that this trip presented too good of an opportunity to be in Canberra for Anzac Day, and to give the kids an experience to remember (and us) if we were at the Australian War Memorial for the dawn service. Day 13 - Around Canberra After a fairly slow start to the morning, we eventually headed up to the Australian War Memorial to have a look around and also gauge the lay of the land for the big Anzac Day services tomorrow. Day 12 - Wangaratta to Canberra (about 400kms) Today was a travel day. The kids slept til almost 8am, so it was a leisurely start to the day. After finding coffee and hot chocolates in Wangaratta it was back onto the Hume Highway. We stopped to stretch our legs briefly in Tarcutta and stopped at Gundagai for lunch (a place we had overnighted on he first day of our trip).
