Having heard good reports about ko Lanta we had decided to stay here until Christmas. With it being 2 weeks away we had some time to kill and spent the first 6 days staying in a rasta bar, 30 feet from a wicked beach and really nice people!! It was one of the more basic places we have stayed but definitely one of the most chilled out and fun! After day one we were helping ourselves to drinks behind the bar and drinking coffee with the rasta Thai owner! On night 2 the 2 Thai/Rastas did a BBQ for the 8 guests staying here. They cooked us local food and we all sat round eating and drinking. not enough space to write the full story's for what happened here but here's a little description....

Driving motorbikes illegally
Anna falling off twice
Driving a tuk tuk (slowest thing in history)
