We arrived in the red light district of kings cross Sydney at around 11.30pm so needless to say we didn't get the best view of Sydney that evening!! I phoned Angie and she was so happy and surprised to hear we were there. And strangely enough she was just boarding a train to kings cross!! So we waited to meet her and it was so good to see her again!! We stayed for one drink as we were both so tired and then went and found a quiet place and had our second night in the car. When we woke up we had a good drive around to the city and Bondi and weren't all that keen on either so we decided to trek it over the Sydney harbour bridge to Manly.Strangely enough we instantly loved it here and booked up 5 days in the manly cottage inn. This hostel was more or less on the main street and ran parallel to the beach which was great.Since we have been here Tom has bought a brand new surf board which was a great deal!! He also got the bag and leash and was etc all free. Its luminous green which is great as I can usually spot him in the waves amongst the other surfers. We have had a few admin days here and a few chilling days here.I made a comment on the beach about not having met anyone from home yet and that evening Ben owen from church came up and said hi!!! Thought you might want to know that mum, you can let his mum know I bumped into Ben on manly beach?!!! Crazy! So we basically spend the next few days chilling out and deciding what to do.We tried to rent a campervan with Angie but unfortunately that fell through. So in the end we decided to rent another car between me and Tom and make our way up to Byron bay.I was sad to leave Manly as our hostel lady was so kind and helpful and we did have a great time there.I have also got myself onto the vwoofing scheme where you can organize to go and stay with an Australian family and help out on their farm/ranch for a few weeks.I will be staying a few hours north of Brisbane with colleen and ian (I think). They have horses, chickens and two dogs.I can hardly wait as I think I will really enjoy getting back on a horse again and generally helping out.You work 4 hours a day in exchange for your food and accommodation.Work will be grooming and exercising the horses, feeding chickens and some gardening as well.Oh and they have a sit on mower how cool is that??!!Will try to stay in contact more frequently from now on, speak soon , much love to all x x x
