This photo is actually from the week before, but I went to the doctor's office and received 3 shots: Hep A, Gardasil (not for travel, obviously), and Meningitis. Originally my mother said I was only having the meningitis vaccine, but once we told the nurse where we planned to go on vacation, she poked me with the Hep A as well. Worst aches I've felt in a while.

As of now, we have 5 days before we're jetsetting to--you guessed it--Africa. We'll land finally in Marrakech, Morrocco, where we'll be picked up at the airport by a Moroccan-French couple named Vincent and Latifah who will then take us to their home, or riad, a traditional type of bed and breakfast with local homemade foods. We corresponded with them via e-mail several times. They keep promising that a lovely dinner will be waiting for us upon arrival. After 22 hours of traveling it'll be much needed, followed by a lengthy sleep in a Moroccan bed.

Since this is my first blog entry I'll say this: As we get closer to my departure, if things important to the trip come up I'll make a new entry for them. If they don't, my next entry will be the day we leave, and will be updated with pictures and videos every single day. Enjoy, and happy traveling!!
