Arrived in Aswan yesterday afternoon in about 35 degree heat. Over the past few days in Luxor I have:- Been to mummification museum showing the mummification process and some dead humans and animals. Today one of allahs seven brothers drove me and a finnish girl Nina around the west bank (we live on the east bank) to see the valley of the kings, the colossi of Memnon (2 18m high statues, built by Amenhotep III, of what the Greeks believed were Memnon who was slain by Achilles in the Trojan war) and tried to see Hatshpsut but it closed early. Today I Explored the city and went to karnak temple and have changed to a cheaper hotel (E£55) that Allah took me to, the view from my balcony is of Luxor temple (in the picture). I am now going to meet Allah again to go tothe second wedding party. My new Egyptian mobile number is: 01514026890.

Well the first thing I learnt about Luxor is who to go to for free books and postcards, opium, weed, alcohol, sex and someone who will apparently be my taxi driver for the whole of the middle east! And also not to get a taxi from the airport.
