The day started with the usual photo opportunities, local palaces, monuments etc. the water palace being the most impressive, we spent the morning in the amber fort mesmorised by the never ending lines of elephants carry smiling tourists up and down the mountain. We explored the City Palace and the Jantar Mantar before lunch and then, strap yourself in, we're going shopping in India! Jewellery, followed spices followed textiles, followed saris, we discovered Indian hospitality - from "welcome, no pressure would you like a drink" to "buy, buy, buy" and angry looks of how dare you come here and not spend all your money!...With our skin truly thickened off we went to monkey temple to watch joyous Hindus bathe amongst screaming monkeys, holy cows and beautiful peacocks. We ended the day with a panoramic view of the city atop the tombs of the kings of Jaipur past.
