Wow reality is starting to kick in that the best of the trip is now over and we are making our way home :(
We got up at 3 this morning for an early get away so the Brady's could get a bit of heat relief without their aircon working.
Today we are back in Queensland and have made it to Mt Isa. Called up an old work mate Donna Hamilton and we ended up at their place for the arvo for drinks, nibbles, a swim and a good catch up. Ben and Sean both loved catching up and having a play with Will and Piper.
We left and grabbed some pizzas on the way home and went up to the lookout to eat them.
The next morning we got up and went for a drive out to Moondarra Dam to have a look around. The kids got out at the kids playground to have a play. Gaz was getting the camera out of the car so the boys went ahead into the park. There was a heap of peacocks and they started chasing the boys as they were still eating their left over pizzas. Poor Ben was hysterical running for the car and Sean wasn't far behind him. It took a bit to get Ben out of the car and come back in with me.
After a play we met up with the Brady's at The Isa for lunch. A great feed and it turns out our last meal with them :(
They are going to take off tonight around 7 to drive through the night rather than in the heat of the day.
Shaun went back with Archie to have some sleep so the rest of us went to the Waterpark. What a great area for the kids. They had so many areas and fun things to play on then they also had the water area. Kids really loved the flying fox too. They had a great time playing for hours.
Then it was back to camp to get ready to go out to tea with the Hamiltons.
We had to say our goodbyes to the Brady's which was a bit sad. I know we will see them in a few days but it would have been great to finish the trip with them. Kylie and I swigged down a strongbow each, got some pics and said bye.
Ben was crying in the car that they were leaving.
Have had the time of our life trip thanks Brady's!!!!!!!!!!!! Great memories and lots of photos to remind us of that!
Had a great meal and a laugh at the Buffs with Donna, Brad and the kids.

Really kicked in they'd gone not seeing their camper when we got home. They'd left a lovely note and Caleb had written a message to Ben so he was super stoked with that.
I took the boys down to the camp kitchen to watch the final of X factor as Ben and I were watching it home before we left. Ben was going for Jai :(
