Our last day/night in Seattle we spent it separately. Toby and Steven hired a car to drive to Portland (roughly 3 hours away) to watch a bball game and from what they have said, it was worth it. As for us we spent it doing tourist stuff. We started off with a trip to visit the first Starbucks in the world. Was very small and smelt amazing and was so popular (I couldn't see why it would be seeing as all the Starbucks produce the same quality coffees lol). We then stop at the diner that was featured in the movie Sleepless in Seattle which wasn't anything special but at least we could say we ate there (I know so touristy!).
Night time fell and we travelled to a place called Red Mill (featured in Man Vs Food and was named best burger an onion rings in the west coast). It was amazing. The burger was sooo juicy but not greasy which didn't leave you with the sickly feeling you get when you down a quarter pounder. Same thing with the onion rings. Amazing!
We did another quick tourist stop at the Fremont troll. For those who have seen 10 things I hate about you (which was filmed in Seattle) it was the backdrop for the scene featuring the guy from inception/3rd rock from the sun and the girl from Ally Mac. (hopefully our friend uploads the photos so you know what were talking about)
We headed out to check Seattle night scene one last time. We went to a club name See sound lounge which had amazing beats being dropped (probably one of the better music being mixed in the USA) and good people. Again one advise is to TIP your waiters/bar tenders. If you take care of them, they will take care of you which we saw last night with free drinks once again (our total tips was less than the drinks value). So make sure you tip. Standard is 1 dollar a drink but if your willing to drop 5 dollars for the first two rounds, that should set you up for the night (providing you follow each other round with roughly 1 dollar tip per drink).
Right now we are chilling at Seattle airport, waiting for our flight to Vancouver. Our trip is getting colder an colder which each new destinations. The plan is Vancouver is hopefully to check out whistler for some snow action, so fingers crossed...
See you all in Vancouver.
