Have just had three beautiful days in Canaima staying in a rustic but quite plush lodge (Tapuy Lodge) on the lagoon with waterfalls and palm trees all around, oh yeah and white sand. Happy new year! The last day of 2010 was great, sun was out so we spent all day lying by the pool. Last night the hotel had a party with a "salsa" band, which was all very amusing, sounded more bomtempi to us!! We treated outselves to a bottle of wine (instead of just beer) which was truly awful and saw in the new year with a glass of asti, cant remember the last time i did that (if ever!)!
