Breakfast here was the best so far!! We took advantage and then retired to loungers by the pool…The pool towels were nice and fluffy, free water and apples were provided and for elevensies, fruit skewers were distributed. Now this was service!
Inevitably, the sky clouded over and rain started at 230. Nothing else for it but a DVD in the room. The food a the Anantara looked extortionate, so we decided to look for alternative eatery. The receptionist suggested a suitable venue at Pak Meng beach, which also provided free transport.
Took sundowners at the Beach Bar and chatted to Mark and Andrew (managers).
Arrived at the Kok Kor restaurant at 8 - it was a glorified shed with 1000 geckos. Ordered some fresh fish, fried rice and prawns. Oh… not forgetting the Singhas. The lady there spoke good English so we found out exactly how far the Tsunami reached and what was best on the menu.
Back at the Anantara, we endeavoured to find the action, but by 10pm it was dead. Next DVD?
