Awoke to the sound of banging on the door. It was 11 and the cleaner was in jeopardy of not meeting her KPI.
We'd missed breakfast so decided to eat out, book a trio and arrange a massage for siesta time. A-lo found out she had mislaid her bikini bag so first priority was to get a new one. Booked a tour to PhiPhi the next day, looked at a bikini shop then, not without guilt, headed to *bucks for a Latte and muffin.
Back at the pool, A-lo wasn't 100% happy with the new Billabong rip off bikini, but it did the job. The pool needed a chiller and most of the loungers were occupied by flabby pasty white bodies. Now I know why the Thais call the Europeans "ghosts".
We went up market in the massage, opting for a GBP6 per hour spa. The Thai massage was a real pummeling with a lot of knees in my leg and elbowing my back. Judging by the silence emitted from the bed next door, A-lo's foot, head and shoulder aromatherapytreatment was a bit more relaxing.
Having shopped, swam, a spa treatment and had lunch it was definitely time for a siesta.
Arose from siesta at 8, We returned to the stilt restaurant area where I ordered the typical tourist dish: fried rice served in a hollowed out coconut. Towards the end of the meal I observed an unprecedented act of humanitarianism from Annelise: she gave some scraps of food to a stray cat
We took in an ice cream for desert and ended up back at the bar from the previous night. Watched Manchester United get knocked out of the FA cup whilst keeping an eye on the circus around us.
