Miami baby!!! Booked the hotel with a website called hotwire which gives you a good price but you dont know where your staying until its booked and they send an email with your hotel. To cut the story short we got an amazing 4 star hotel for less than it would have cost in a hostel! The resort had a gym and swimming pool and was right on the beach front so really chuffed with ourselves!

We unpacked and took to the town to take in the nightlife of miami beach. The weekend we arrived just happened to be the weekend of a huge R&B conference and the consierge mentioned on our way out of the hotel that there would be a lot of "black people" in the town and lots of "black music"..... and oh boy he was not kidding!! I have never seen anything like it in all my life it was hilarious, the streets were lined with loads of men who just stand and watch all the women walk past. If they like what they see then they touch her, grab her or take a photo with the lady in question its unbelievable, if a little degrading to the female race!! The ladys dont seem to mind being handled like pieces of meat they actually seemed to like it!??? very very strange! The people watching was amazing and wait till i tell you about the cars, within 30 minutes we had seen 3 ferraris, 5 lambourginis, 2 rolls royce phantoms and countless bentleys!! Some of the cars were pimped to the max with giant rims and i s*** you not one car actually had balls in a scrotum hanging down at the back!! (took loads of photos but lost them all due to a virus in the camera so bit gutted!) Didnt manage to get in anywhere for a drink due to the volume of people and everywhere had massive lines to get in but didnt matter as outside was where it was happening!!

Spent the next few days sunning ourselves at the pool because it was gorgeous and you could have picked my jaw off the floor when the "pool ambassador" brought round cold face towels and pieces of fruit when you were relaxing on your sun lounger!! Must be the only travellers getting evian face mist at 3pm every day hee hee! Went to the cinema one night to see the new indiana jones film and other nights we got the bus to town for a bite to eat and a couple of drinks but too expensive to make a big night of it but just fun to be there and take it all in!

We had our 3rd wedding anniversary here too and for a surprise mike booked me in for my first french manicure at the hotel beauty salon which was lovely and a real treat! We treated ourselves that night to dinner in a really nice restaurant on Lincoln Road (the poshest street in miami beach and awesome for people watching) then to a bar for the nicest cocktails i have ever had!

Took one day to go on the bus to downtown but having been to so many cities in the last 6 weeks we definitely prefer the beachside. Took a day to go to the art deco distirct in south beach, took loads of photos which we didnt lose so you can see how pretty the beach front is, its gorgeous with every hotel being different and quirky in its own way! Spent the rest of our days in the sea and swimming pool ahhh bliss!

Unfortunately on our second last night i woke up about 5 feeling a bit quesy mentioned it to mike and ironically within an hour he was getting intimate with the toilet bowl on my behalf!! I felt really ill but mike was worse so thats our first dose of food poisoning out the way and i fear it may be the first of many! So with us put of hot dogs for the forseeable future our last day was spent near to the toilet just in case!! Bit of a bummer but s*** happens and it didnt dent our love of miami beach would difinitely go back!!

Early to bed as we were up at 5am to catch a flight to LA to begin our travels of the west coast...hollywood here we come!
