We woke up 7 am and had been freezing all night since the AC had been going for full. The rest of the people had been sweating upstairs in the lounge but we had a private double cabin. Cassie had made breakfast for us to start the day. because of our diet request they had bought an extra package of 12 eggs. Me and Kris tried not to laugh since we normally have 24 eggs a day together. We told Cassie 3 a day for each of us will do fine. To compensate we had musli with protein powder.
After breakfast they drove us to the Hook Island were we did our first dive. it was an amazing nature on the Island and the water was clear blue. This time they dropped us straight from the rubber boat into the water. we just fell backwards and then met by the surface with matt before we headed down below. It was so much to look at today. We saw a huge turtle sleeping on the bottom of the ocean in a cave. he Corals were big and colorful and some Nemo fish was hiding in them. A big blue fish approached us. It was the famous Priscilla that Matt and Timme had been telling stories about. She was a meter in dimension and had big blue lips. Matt went up to her and touched her and she liked it. She knows them since they dive here so often. It was so cool to watch. After 40 min we were on our way up to the surface again. Timmie took our tubes so we could continue doing snorkeling after. It was great water and we were in it for maybe one hour before they picked us up to go back to Powerplay. By the time we were back it was lunch time with tuna salad and chicken. They sky started to get dark and soon it was pouring down with rain. It kept on for hours and we went to do our second dive on another island. I didn't mind the rain when I dived since it was warm and nice in the water. This dive was not as good as the earlier one and probably because it was darker in the water. We still enjoyed it. Since the rain was so bad they decided to not go to the famous Whitehaven beach as planned since the ocean was rocky and many people were feeling seasick. One girl had to leave the boat after the first dive this morning because she was too sick. We now headed to a rainforest by the Hayman Island instead to have a look at some pre historic caves where the sea people used to live. They took us in with the rubber boat and then we had to walk in the water to reach land. It was so much rocks to walk on and very slippery. We had to walk up rock stairs and in deep rain forest to get to the caves. Kris really hated it and was so wet even though I had made him a rain jacket out of a trash bag. We saw some cave paintings on the walls but were not allowed to walk into them since they were sacred by the sea people. So after been out in the rain for 20 min we went back to the boat. Everybody was in a bit bad mood but when the dinner came we all felt better. The rain acctually stopped and we could be outside on the deck again. We all sat down by the Jacuzzi, did some games and watched the photos from todaybefore we headed to bed. Tomorrow we are going to dive at 6.30am and then we will head back to Airlie beach and end this trip.
