We woke up early to get ready for the cruise. Kris did some work by the computer while I went for a swim in the pool. It was a lovely sunny morning. At 10 am we ordered a cab and checked out from the hotel. We went to the cruise office to leave our big suitcases for storage. Then we went to buy sun screen, towels and other things to bring with us on the boat. Before making it down to the harbour we had breakfast and coffee at a really nice breakfast place. Now we were ready for the cruise and we grabbed a cab that took us right to the boat bridge. We were to go with Powerplay, a huge catamaran boat with a jaccuzzi on the deck. The crew met with us and we met up with the other people that was to take part in this cruise, In all we were 16 passengers and then 4 crews. The crew consist of Cassie ( the chef), Timmie ( the clown), Matt ( our instructor) and Rob ( the captain of the boat. We headed out in the Whitsundays island to reach our first point, the Hayman Islands where we did our first scuba dive. We were provided with wetsuits, glasses and fins. The instructor geared us up with tubes and all things needed for the scuba. They took us out in a small rubber boat to get closer to land. Matt went through some safety tips and made sure we all knew how to get rid of water from the regulator and our glasses. We then followed him down in the water to dive into the reefs. It was an amazing feeling to see all colors of the corals and the fish. It was like big corridors of corals with fishes living in them. We were under the water for 40 min before we headed to the surface. Me and Kris left the scuba gear with Timmy in the rubber boat and then we did some snorkeling too. It was just amazing water to spend time in. After some hours we headed back to the big boat to get our wetsuits off and have a shower, Cassie prepared the dinner which was steak and different sallads, Timmy opened the alcohol bar after the food and people started enjoying beer and drinks. The sky was clear with tons of stars. We really enjoyed being out in the ocean. Since it is soo dark and you are tired from the sea air we went to bed already at 10.30pm. We have a big day tomorrow with 2 dives and other activities.
