Went for a lovely breakfast down the road and then went to get the bus to Kuala Lumpur. The rainey journey took 6 hours but at least we were on a coach and not a sweaty mini-bus! Went to Fort Cornwallis and Penang Museum. The boys then went to the second world war museum futher up the island and the girls went shopping in the huge Georgetown centre! Evening went to 'a typical english pub' only prob being they were 'typical english prices'!! Headed back to hostel and sat playing cards with a tiger! Note: should say Penang, Malaysia as title of postcard!

The day at the Port: - We left for Penang today, getting a taxi to the port on Langkawi. Our ferry was at 2.30pm and so we went to KFC for lunch whilst we waited and took pictures of the huge eagle which is the main feature of the port! At 1.45 we headed to our gate, but were told we'd have to wait for our ferry...so we sat down. - We got up this morning and we had glorious sunshine - yay! So we took walks along the beach and basked in the sun! Langkowi: - We got up at 6am and got a minibus to Satun, south Thailand. The journey was really long and we were crammed into a tiny minibus - not much fun! - We arrived in Satun at 1pm and got ferry across to Langkowi - which took and hour. - The rain seemed to follow us to Malaysia and at the port it was p@#*ing it down!
