Thanks to much needed sleep we were up with the Church bells, yes the bells ring every 15 minutes with the Angelus rung at 9 am, midday and 9 p.m, I need you Judith to lead the prayer (Ha!) Etzia and Maurizio are off to a wedding this afternoon, so the morning for me is a visit to the hairdressers, then Slovenia to buy meat and petrol. Robert and Maurizio have decided to climb the mountain behind Prestento to visit recently discovered caves. After a quick lunch, we travelled to Udine with Bruno and Katerina, who we finally met, after being hidden away during our 2009 visit. Spent the afternoon walking around the old part of the city. The highlight for Robert was a visit to the Official 'Udinese Soccer' Store where he bought out all the large size gear. I had to relax in a bar eating the finest San Danielle Ham, we were not able to visit the region, so this was a poor second best. The evening was spent with Robert's other cousin Maria Garziella and her family, they live in a house nestled in the bush, we were able to sit on the verandah and watch the sun set as the roast pork spun slowly on the spit. Added bonus was the sounds of the Brazil V Chile game echoing in the distance. Another day in the best part of Italy.
