The travels of Karyn and Robert
Relax, relax, relax, this is on the agenda, after the chaotic visit to Prestento and Udine trying to keep the jet lag at bay. It dawned on me that we always have a few days either in Austria or Singapore before descending on the relatives, jet lag and lightening paced italian relatives is an interesting mix, but the experiences they give us are memorable. Life in Northern Italy revolves around family, friends, food, wine and smoking. With Robert we are lucky, as his mother and father were from neighbouring towns, so we have relative overload. Cousins, maternal and fraternal, if they have passed, visit to the cemetery is a must. Cemetery in Udine - tick, cemetery in Prestento - tick, cemetery in Treviso - will be ticked on our last day. I am dancing on the keyboard in the Observation Bar, which is above our room, looking at Robert snoozing on the lounge, 180 degree view of the Sea. A little information on the cruise, we are travelling to Greece and Turkey then back to Italy. Our Greek ports are Katakolo, Athens, Santorini and Lesvos. The Turkey ports are Istanbul and Ephesus. We also sail past the Dardenelles, not the Gallipoli side, and in and out of Venice.
