Merhaba (mer-ha-ba) Hello
Well we are all packed for our week away. A few hassels with checking in online, and it initially appeared we would not be sitting together, but after a phone call to the airlines, its all been sorted out- window seats both ways too. RESULT Peter would say.
Apparently you get more for your money, by getting it exchanged in Turkey- so we have only exchanged some of what we think we will need. I have done the research to make sure I dress in a way that is appropriate for Turkey- as Muslim country. One of the pages I was reading was mentioning ear plugs to try and block out the early morning call to prayer. We live across the road from a beautiful old church that rings its lovely bells all day, so I think we will be able to cope.
It has been a very busy week, so I havent had too much time to focus on what an amazing opportunity, experince this is going to be- and I suppose its a good thing, as it means I have been living in the moment. Peter has been busy too, but we have both managed to keep on top of our commitments.
Peter managed to get us travel insurance through M&S for 12 months at a very good cost- well done that boy.
Tesekkur ederim (tesh-e-kur- e-derim) Thank you to those who are interested in sharing from the backseat- I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I predict we will.
The final bits are being sorted today for the house to go LIVE, so as to speak.
We fly out at 10.35am and arrive 16.25- its a 3.50min flight, and Turkey is 2 hrs ahead of the UK- which means we are 2 hours closer to OZ lol.
Ok its time for a glass of wine- while I can and the last of my ironing to do, as I always come home to a clean house.
lyi aksamlar (eey ak-sham-lar) Good Evening
