The commercialised bay town of Airlie was next on the agenda with a trip planned to cruise around the Whitsundays and get into the water for some quality snorkelling. With our top end adventure reaching the northernmost point we turned and began to drift southwards and directed the car toward Lake Tinaroo in the Atherton Tablelands. Leaving Magnetic Island pretty relaxed we really started to feel a lot less like newbies. The trip up to Cairns was pretty uneventful, with a stop to pick up some vegies at a random shop that was attached to an old disused barn.
