Awesome day out - travelled by longboat, along with a Dutch couple, German couple & a French girl, to some raft houses on a massive lake at Surat Thani, and kayaked around to build up an appetite for lunch. Spotted some monkeys up in the trees. Spent the afternoon walking through the jungle, led by our barefoot guide. After a hot and busy day in Bangkok (in which we fitted: boat, grand palace, temple, reclining buddha, tuk tuk, shopping & bartering), Ems & I flew south to Khao Sok National park and are now in our tree hut surrounded by jungly sounds. Had a lazy afternoon tubing down the river today, followed by a pounding (thai massage) in the local spa. Saw a firefly at dinner.
