So after surviving the night train we took a nice short nap before heading across the road to the beach. We slept and read on the beach and braved the humungous waves to cool off in the sea. All in all it was a highly successful morning with very few people getting burnt... In the afternoon we headed to the mud baths which were great fun although it did feel a tad strange to be bathing in mud. Ah well, we're hoping it has done lots of good to our skin! We spent the whole afternoon lazing around, eating ice creams and moving between pools of different temperatures, can't really complain! Oh and disaster has struck (in all seriousness) as flo's phone is broken. kaput. Hopefully we'll manage to find some vietnamese guy who can fix it for us. keep your fingers crossed. For dinner we headed to a Vietnamese barbecue restaurant where you cooked all your own food. It was delicious but unbelievably hot, smokey and hard work and made us appreciate the rest of our meals greatly! We had a lovely combination of chicken, rice and chips which left us all feeling pleasantly plump. Some of us then separated to go to a local bar with dangerously cheap alcohol. Named 'why not?'it was aptly titled with some of them consuming a humungous (bigger than you're imagining) bucket of rum, gin and vodka and some other alcohol as well. Needless to say they're not feeling top notch this morning! Tonight we're headed to hoi an on a night bus. I repeat a night bus. Because the trains are all messed up due to new year. Oh and it's 14hours. We're unbelievably excited!!!
